We here at Snake River Outfitters are very proud of our management of this area's deer herd. WE ONLY HARVEST MATURE MULE DEER THAT WE FEEL HAVE REACHED THEIR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL REGARDLESS OF WHICH TYPE OF OPTION YOU HAVE BOOKED. As a result we believe we have one of the finest and most diverse deer herds in the nation.

In and attempt to give you the hunter more options to enjoy our magnificent deer herd, we are installing a NEW management and pricing program.

That gives you the hunter a much greater voice in both quality of bucks harvested and price paid for that opportunity.  This NEW PROGRAM will be directly tied to quality and score of each individual buck.

PLEASE SEE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS AND PICTURES FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

OPTION 1:  SILVER MEDAL BUCKS $3500 to $5500            Silver Medal Pictures

These hunts are designed for the person whose main desire is to harvest a mature mule deer buck with final B&C score secondary.  Due to the diversity of the deer here we felt it was important to give the hunter some discretion as to type and quality of buck they wish to harvest within this option, while still protecting the integrity of our ranch and its management system.

Therefore, we have installed a pricing system which hopefully will allow you, the hunter, more flexibility in you decisions while hunting these special animals.

Prices for this option are:

$3500 for bucks scoring 150 to 160

$4500 for bucks scoring 160 to 170

$5500 for bucks scoring 170 to 180

No bucks deemed to have Gold Medal potential will be ALLOWED FOR  harvest within this option.

OPTION 2:  GOLD MEDAL BUCKS $12,500      Gold Medal Pictures

We only sell 6 for these hunts yearly; they are designed for the serious deer enthusiast whose main desire is to harvest mature bucks that achieve the B&C score of 180 inches or better and have reached their maximum trophy potential.  Over the last 7 years the bucks taken in this hunt averaged 187 inches with several bucks achieving the 200 inch category. The 6 bucks harvested in 2009 scored 234, 216, 201, 197, 194, 186 making the average score for 2009 a whopping 204.

OPTION 3:  MANAGEMENT HUNT $1500          Management Hunt Pictures

These hunts have been established as a request made by hunters already booked at Snake River Outfitters, and is designed for the hunter that has either filled his tag and wishes to continue the hunting/outdoor experience OR the hunter who wishes to bring a guest or family member.

THIS HUNT IS A GREAT WAY TO INTRODUCE NEW HUNTERS EITHER YOUNG, OLD, MALE OR FEMALE TO THE HUNTING EXPERIENCE, while assisting the ranch in decreasing genetically challenged animals.

This hunt is to harvest animals which we feel are a detriment to the genetic pool of the ranch so animals harvested will be at the GUIDES discretion.  Hunter must agree to attempt to harvest an animal when guide feels the animal fits our criteria for this hunt.

OPTIONS 1 & 2

Live score will be estimated by attending guide, it is understood that all live scores are ONLY an estimate by attending guide, and it is hunter's final responsibility to harvest or not to harvest regardless of score as determined by Boone and Crockett scoring system.

Snake River Outfitters assumes all responsibility for estimates of final score.  Guides while in the field will attempt to score deer within option and range chosen by the hunter. If deer's final score is ABOVE hunters chosen option and called by guide to score within hunter's chosen option then SRO assumes ALL responsibility and no additional fees will be assessed unless agreed to in the field , and called by guide prior to harvest.

Hunters assume all responsibility to pay appropriate trophy fees when guide informs them prior to harvest that said animal will score in a higher category, and hunter elects to harvest animal.

NO BUCKS THAT ARE DEEMED TO HAVE GOLD MEDAL POTENTIAL WILL BE HARVESTED ON ANY SILVER MEDAL HUNT.
